For more than five years, the Philadelphia Hampton Alumni Chapter has shown up for our community with consistency, compassion, and True Blue pride. Service isn’t an initiative for us — it’s our legacy. It’s woven into who we are as Hamptonians and how we choose to impact the city we call home.
As we begin the 2026–2027 Chapter year, we are proud to continue that tradition with our first Community Partner Donation Drive, taking place during our Chapter meeting on Saturday, October 17. This moment marks the start of another year of intentional giving, meaningful partnerships, and collective action.
Our Community Partners: Wagner Middle School & Fab Youth Philly
This year, we continue our relationship with two organizations that embody the spirit of youth development, education, and community strength.
Wagner Middle School
Wagner has long been a stabilizing force for students in West Oak Lane — a place where educators work tirelessly to create a supportive, enriching environment. Over the past five years, our Chapter has shown up for Wagner in various ways, from school supplies to enrichment support. This year’s drive builds on that foundation, ensuring students have the tools and essentials they need to thrive academically and personally.
Fab Youth Philly
Fab Youth Philly continues to redefine what youth leadership looks like in Philadelphia. Through creative programming, employment opportunities, and initiatives like the Play Captains, they empower teens to lead, collaborate, and contribute to their communities. Our ongoing support helps strengthen their mission and amplifies the impact they make every day.
Why This Drive Matters
The NHAA mission calls us to connect, engage, and empower — and this drive is a direct expression of that charge. Since 2020, the Philadelphia Hampton Alumni Chapter has proudly lived out that mission through consistent support of Philadelphia‑based nonprofits — showing up for youth, families, and community organizations with the same True Blue spirit that defines Hampton alumni everywhere.
During our October 17 meeting, members are encouraged to bring items that directly support Wagner Middle School and Fab Youth Philly:
- Underwear (young adults)
- Undershirts
- Hygiene products
- Gift cards in small increments (Amazon, Walmart, Target)
- Tracphone
Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Location: Wynnefield Library
Forever True, Forever Blue — and Forever Community
As we enter the 2026–2027 year, we honor our legacy while expanding our reach. This drive is not just an event — it is a continuation of the work we’ve been doing for more than five years. It is a reminder that our impact grows when we show up consistently, collaborate intentionally, and lead with purpose.
We’re not just starting a new Chapter year. We’re renewing our commitment. We’re strengthening our partnerships. We’re living out Hampton’s mission — together.
