Our Chapter is launching a special Donation Drive in honor of Dr. Bruce Mabine, MD, a Hamptonian whose legacy continues to shape generations of students and families. Dr. Mabine, Class of 1979, Ogre Phi Ogre I, embodied the Hampton spirit through his leadership, service, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others.

His class originated Hampton’s class‑naming tradition — a tradition that still thrives today with the Class of 2026, Ogre Phi Ogre 20, which includes 54 Philadelphia students. Dr. Mabine’s impact also lives on through the Ogre Phi Ogre Endowed Scholarship, a fund he helped architect that has raised more than $1 million to support Hampton students.

At the request of Dr. Mabine’s family, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to this scholarship. Our Chapter is honored to support this effort and to contribute collectively in his memory.

If you would like to participate in our Chapter’s donation, you may give through our website’s Donate page or bring your contribution to our meeting on Saturday. Every gift — large or small — helps continue the work Dr. Mabine believed in so deeply.

This donation drive is more than a gesture. It is a tribute to a Hamptonian who poured into our community, lifted up our students, and left a legacy of service that will continue for years to come.

Forever True. Forever Blue.
